HONOR JOURNEY
Honoring our Sacred Heritage

The Children of the Cultures of the World have the Inherent Right that their people's tradition remains intact, their language, their values, its intrinsic beauty and unique expressions; for they are the keepers of its future.

The Vision

The Honor Journeys are journeys of the human spirit in reverence and preservation of our cultural and natural heritage. Our vision is to unite people in partnerships and cooperative actions, linking expertise and resources for direct hands-on support and advocacy of Indigenous Peoples and their cultures.

The Honor Journey, a project of the Circle Legacy Center, a non-profit organization out of Lancaster, PA, makes a commitment every two to four years to a particular Indigenous community. It is our intention, with great sensitivity to the uniqueness of each culture to create a support network of individuals, organizations, businesses, and educational institutes that are actively dedicated to assist and empower Indigenous people through their own vision and self-determination. A strong focus is on the youth and the importance of the culture they are inheriting from the keepers of their traditions.

The first Honor Journey commitments are to the Taos Pueblo in northern New Mexico and the community of Pinon, Arizona within the Navajo Nation. We request your pledge of support in the signing of the Honor Journey Charter to humbly offer assistance and brotherhood in a collective effort to Native American communities in helping to heal and bring balance to a profound neglect on the part of our society for our first nation's people. It is with this renewed spirit of the human heart and a quest for something more meaningful, that we can build a bridge of brotherhood for a sustainable world on behalf of all our children and future generations.
